A Prairie Home Companion in Tulsa

On October 25, Garrison Keillor brought his wonderful radio show, A Prairie Home Companion, to Tulsa’s Chapman Theater. With Elvin Bishop, a native of Tulsa, Monica Taylor from Perkins, and other guests offering Oklahoma themed music, jokes and stories. Photos of the show here.

The beginning is funny because Garrison talks about coming into a red state before the election to try to understand how its people think. Actually there are a lot of good natured jokes at Oklahoma’s expense: Route 66, cowboys, country music, religion, football, etc.
