Digby notes the important role of the bus in American politics.
On the 5th anniversary of Bush's invasion of Iraq, Andrew Sullivan flaggelates himself — quite appropriately — about his support for it. Unfortunately, he's the best of the sorry, war-mongering lot that still passes, in the Beltway at least, for Wise and Serious People.
Vote now for the Corporate Hall of Shame. Nominees are:
- Mattel
- Archer Daniels Midland
- Blackwater
- Countryside
- Toyota
- Nestle
- Wendy's
- Walmart
Details of their corporate crimes and the voting form (good news: you can pick three) can be found here. You can even write in a company of your choice if the nominees above don't strike you as nefarious enough — which makes this election a lot more democratic than any held in the state of Oklahoma.
