The outing of Valerie Plame is back in the news with the release of an excerpt from Scott McClellan's upcoming memoir, which looks like it might be subtitled “If I Did It, by The Bush Administration.”
So the question is, will this lead anyone with some power to ramp up an investigation, towards the only place justice leads: impeachment. Based on past experience, probably not. Nobody seems to care that our democratic values and functions of government are being destroyed by these evil bastards. Not to mention our security.
And of course it would have been nice if McClellan had divulged this information when he first became aware of it, or at least during Fitzgerald's investigation in 2005 and 2006, instead of waiting to make money off it in a self-congratulatory book. But that would require love of country and love of justice, two emotions which no one in the Bush orbit has been shown to possess.
