The LA Times has a handy guide to tonight's political ritual (may it soon be dead), entitled Why Iowa? And what's a caucus, anyway? which answers the basic questions about that state's crazy process that has come to have so much influence.
There's a growing unhappy rumble in the blogosphere about how we select our candidates, and particularly the Iowa/New Hampshire lock on the early (and often critical) decisionmaking.
Judith Gayle at Political Waves notes complaints about the pandering to Iowans by Kos, who, I suspect, will really let loose about it after tonight's caucus is history. Anyway, she asks “Why Iowa?“, and then addresses the attacks on Edwards for being too “angry.”
