I think Steven D is one of the most astute bloggers around. I'd like to just take everything he posts, copy it and put it on this site, and look really, really smart. But instead I bookmark or email links to his entire oeuvre.
This post has him quoting from Naomi Klein's Shock Doctrine, Democracy Now!'s interview with NOLA activist Sess4-5 and the LA Times in assessing the sham of a hearing on public housing in New Orleans, in which the public was not only literally locked out, but pepper sprayed and tasered.
The powers that be in NOLA are determined to Disney-fy the city and anyone who doesn't think that's a swell idea had better stfu.
