GOP legislators make teabaggers proud with rude, out of order disruptions on House floor

This morning, prior to the vote on health care reform, the GOP orchestrated, in the now world-renowned teabagger style, an ugly disruption of the Democratic Women’s Caucus statements for the record (which had already been shortened by agreement between the two parties. The Dem leadership persists in making these agreements although they are never honored by the other side).

A longer mashup, if you can stomach it, is available from Think Progress.

This is a good cop/bad cop act. The “bad cop” (GOP) carries out the actual policy, while the “good cop” (Dems) wrings her hands in mock helplessness. The “good cop” is there so the cops can deny the actual policy, but they both work for the cops.

Think of Lucy and Charlie Brown. Lucy will yank the football away and Charlie will fall on his butt forever, because Charlie will never catch on.

When *you* catch on, check out the Green Party.

Cameron, do you know where you’re commenting? I’m a founding member of the Green Party of Florida and a current member of the Green Party of Oklahoma. That doesn’t prevent me from being appalled at this behavior.
