I heard there was going to be a big parade or something on Tuesday

According to the official inaugural website, Oklahoma groups marching in the Inaugural Parade are Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office and Union High School Air Force JROTC, though the latter story seems to indicated that the JROTC is only going because “the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office couldn’t raise the funds to go” and that article was updated on 1/11.

Lots of Oklahomans are going to attend the inauguration, but as the Oklahoman story explains, Clara Luper’s health will not allow her to be there.

Progressive Oklahoman Candace Richerson will be present and hopefully reporting on her experience on her blog. I thought maybe some of the DemoOkie folks might be going, but I can’t find any indication of that. If you know of any others who are there, please let us know in comments.

You can keep up with the event by watching it live online or on your favorite TV news channel, text messages via Twitter, or visually on Youtube or Flickr. Actually, it’s going to be hard to avoid. Maybe HGTV or the Sci-Fi Channel might be inauguration-free, but I wouldn’t bet my life on it.
