Ann Wright in Oklahoma to promote 'Dissent: Voices of Conscience'

This fantastic video introduces some of the patriots — government whistle blowers, conscientious objectors — who are profiled in Ann Wright's book, Dissent:Voices of Conscience: Government Insiders Speak Out Against the War in Iraq.

I am so thrilled that Ann Wright will be in the Oklahoma City Metro area all day tomorrow, 4/25, to promote the book, and the ideas it embodies. The schedule is below. If these are issues you care about, you should not miss this opportunity to meet one of the greatest Americans of our time.

Ann Wright is coming to OKC as part of her national tour to promote her new book, Dissent: Voices of Conscience: Government Insiders Speak Out Against the War in Iraq. You can read more about the book at http://www.voicesofconscience.com/index.php

Ann Wright spent 13 years in the U.S. Army and 16 years in the Army Reserves, retiring as a Colonel. She is airborne-qualified. In 1987, she joined the Foreign Service and served as U.S. Deputy Ambassador in Sierra Leone, Micronesia, Afghanistan, and Mongolia. She was on the first State Department team to go to Afghanistan and helped reopen the Embassy there in December 2001. On March 19, 2003 she cabled a letter of resignation to Secretary of State Colin Powell, stating that without the authorization of the UN Security Council, the invasion and occupation of a Muslim, Arab, oil-rich country would be a disaster. Since then, she has been writing and speaking out for peace.
