Hillary, stop calling me!

In the past couple of months, we must have gotten about 20 phone calls from Hillary Clinton's campaign. The most recent one was this afternoon — Super Tuesday — with a recording of Bill Clinton. We had just returned from voting.

Most have been recordings of Hillary, or Bill, or some advocate or other, though several calls have involved real humans. I've hung up on all the recordings, and told at least one of the humans I was voting for Edwards (which triggered a hang up on their end).

We also got a postcard mailer yesterday, and I think we've gotten at least one other direct mail piece.

I really think this kind of overkill is counterproductive. IF I was a Hillary supporter (though it's hard to imagine such a thing), I think I would have been turned off of voting for her as a result of this barrage.

On the other hand, there doesn't seem to be any GOTV effort by the Obama campaign here, which is worrisome. I guess he's written off OK, for the primary at least.
