Fredo's lecture tour kicks off

Former Bush Attorney General Albert Gonzales (lovingly nicknamed “Fredo” by Bush) is wasting no time getting on the lecture circuit. Incredibly, there are institutions of higher learning that are paying him $40,000 to visit and spread his lies and ignorance to their students. That's the bad news. The good news is that the students are a lot smarter than their elders.

In his first appearance at a university since resigning in August, former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was met at UF on Monday with a mixture of cheers, boos and scattered interruptions by protesters, two of whom were arrested.

Keith Olbermann covered this story on Countdown tonight, with some appropriate snark, showing video of two different students climbing on stage (one wore a Gitmo costume with “Civil Liberties” scrawled on the front, the other held a sign saying “Habeas Corpus), then promptly getting led off by police. But I think a video from down in the audience as Gonzales is introduced, shows the proper tone for the occasion.
